Sanaa: A large rally was held on Wednesday in the Sanaa-based Ministry of Transport and Public Works in support of calls by the leadership to end the conflict and blockade and to affirm readiness for potential developments.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the event, Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Quhim announced a broad mobilization across all sectors, including the establishment of training and rehabilitation centers and the elevation of readiness levels. He stated that these measures aim to support what he described as the defense of the country and the recovery of its territory.
He called for national unity across all regions of Yemen and urged coordinated efforts to confront opposing forces while preserving sovereignty and territorial integrity. Quhim also referenced Iran's recent developments positively, while stressing that Yemen would not remain passive in the face of continued blockade and conflict. He further stated that regional parties should meet their obligations toward Yemen, warning of consequences if progress is not achieved, and said Yemen retains the capacity to pursue its objectives if its demands are not addressed.
For his part, Deputy Minister of Transport and Public Works Yahya al-Sayani expressed support for the leadership's position and reiterated opposition to external aggression and interference. He also referenced ongoing conflicts in the region, including in Palestine, Lebanon, Iran, and Yemen, and condemned actions and rhetoric directed at Islamic symbols and sanctities.
Al-Sayani affirmed solidarity with the leadership's call to end the conflict and blockade, and reiterated support for the ministry's alignment with broader political positions. He emphasized readiness to respond to any escalation in the region and called for greater unity among aligned political and military movements.
The official also reiterated calls for mobilization activities, including training programs and public demonstrations, and reaffirmed alignment with the central leadership's directives. Finally, the rally called for national unity across Yemen to end the aggression, restore resources, and achieve stability and independence.
