Sana'a: The Local Council and General Mobilization Authority in Shu'ub District, Sana'a Capital, organized a cultural seminar on Wednesday to commemorate the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him), under the slogan: 'Far from us is humiliation.'
According to Yemen News Agency, during the seminar, First Deputy Governor of Sana'a Capital Khaled Al-Madani addressed the causes of the nation's deviation from the path of guidance. He highlighted the profound lessons of the Karbala tragedy and its spiritual and educational meanings in standing firm for truth and confronting injustice and tyranny.
Al-Madani affirmed that Imam Hussein established a practical model for sacrifice, resilience, and the defense of values, dignity, and freedom. He also referred to the great status of Imam Hasan and Imam Hussein (peace be upon them), as stated by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), who described them as the masters of the youth of Paradise.
He stressed the importance of adhering to the teachings of the Prophet's household, following their values and ethics as a path to guidance and righteousness. Al-Madani urged drawing inspiration from the lessons of Ashura and the stances of Imam Hussein in strengthening awareness, insight, and the values of dignity, honor, victory, and empowerment against adversaries.
He also called for active participation in commemorating Ashura and highlighting its religious, cultural, and historical significance in a way that strengthens social cohesion, reinforces identity, and faith-based values.
