Sana’a Chamber Discusses Challenges Facing Furniture, Upholstery Sector

Sana'a: A meeting at the capital Sana'a Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussed on Wednesday challenges facing furniture, upholstery, and interior design businesses in the capital and ways to enhance their productivity.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was chaired by the head of the commercial and industrial sectors at the chamber, Qais al-Kumaim. It approved the formation of a technical committee to coordinate with relevant authorities and prepare a unified set of legal and technical demands.

Participants emphasized that the furniture sector is a vital industrial activity that supports the local market and should be treated as a strategic economic sector. They also called for strengthening public-private partnership to attract investment, improve industrial expansion, and support the national economy.
