Sana’a City Parks Prepared to Receive Visitors During Eid

Sana'a: The parks and gardens of the Capital Municipality are preparing to receive visitors from the capital and various governorates during the Eid al-Fitr holiday of 1446 AH. Sameer Hamza, Director of the General Administration of Parks in the Capital, confirmed to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that 66 public parks across the governorates are ready to receive thousands of visitors during the Eid holiday. He indicated that 500 employees, including workers, supervisors, engineers, technicians, and security personnel, are tasked with providing services and caring for visitors.

According to Yemen News Agency, over the past weeks, the parks have witnessed improvements, lighting, rehabilitation, afforestation, expansion of green spaces, and the provision of free rides. The zoo located in the Shamila area has also been replenished with a number of native Yemeni animals. Hamza pointed out the intensification of efforts and the completion of technical and service preparations in the parks, in coordination with relevant security agencies and traffic police to provide a suitable environment for park visitors.

He called on citizens to maintain the facilities, cleanliness, and aesthetic appearance of public parks, emphasizing the importance of proper preparation and arrangements to create a pleasant atmosphere for citizens to spend the Eid holiday.

The large parks, which number three, feature amusement parks, free rides, fountains, waterfalls, and diverse green spaces. They include Al-Sab'een Park in front of Al-Sab'een Square, followed by the Martyr President Al-Samad Park and Garden, and the Central Security Island Park. Al-Thawra Park, Al-Sa'a Roundabout in Al-Hasaba - Airport Street, and The Zoo - Taiz Street at the Al-Asbahi Intersection, next to the Al-Asbahi Station, are notable for their diverse collections of wild, rare, and endangered animals and birds.

In addition to large parks, the city boasts medium-sized gardens such as Berlin Garden, Small Al-Samad Garden, Great Al-Samad Garden, and National Dialogue Garden, among others. Neighborhood parks are also abundant, including 14 October Park, Al-Salam Park, Al-Nahdain Park, and many more, spread across various districts to cater to local communities.
