Sanaa: A number of executive offices in Sanaa province held a commemorative event on Wednesday to mark the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him). The event was organized under the slogan, "Never Shall We Accept Humiliation."

According to Yemen News Agency, the gathering was addressed by Deputy Governor Mohammed Ayed, who emphasized the importance of commemorating the occasion as an opportunity to reflect on the lessons and values embodied in Imam Hussein's sacrifices. He noted that Imam Hussein, along with his family and companions, sacrificed their lives in defense of religion, dignity, and honor, adding that the anniversary resonates within the nation's collective memory because of these values of sacrifice and steadfastness.

Executive Director of the Sanitation and Improvement Fund, Sami Al-Turabi, highlighted the importance of remembering the nation's martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their principles and beliefs. He also commended the Yemeni people's support for Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Al-Turabi further stated that commemorating the occasion prepares the Yemeni people for any future confrontations against the "leaders of disbelief," specifically mentioning Trump and Netanyahu.

Cultural activist Ibrahim Hamid al-Din remarked that since 2015, the Yemeni people have faced circumstances akin to the injustice suffered by Imam Hussein. He noted that they continue to fight for the nation's dignity and honor amidst growing submission to forces of domination and hegemony. He also praised the achievements of the "Axis of Resistance," which includes Yemen, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Gaza, in opposing the forces of hegemony and arrogance.
