Sana'a: The Girls' Summer Courses Subcommittee in the Capital Sana'a organized a two-day curricular, cultural, and creative competition for the summer courses under the slogan "Knowledge and Jihad."
According to Yemen News Agency, the competitions included drawing, poetry, recitation, and public speaking, in addition to the curriculum competition "And prepare for them," as well as creative innovations that reflect the students' skills and develop their intellectual and practical abilities.
At the closing ceremony, the competitions coordinator, Iman al-Shami, stated that these activities provide a fertile ground for discovering the students' hidden potential, showcasing their talents, and motivating them to continue excelling and being creative. She noted that the competitions contribute to building a conscious and creative personality that combines knowledge and skill.
She emphasized the pivotal role of summer courses in developing students' academic and cultural abilities and enhancing their awareness in confronting intellectual challenges and misguided ideologies. She commended the efforts of the sub-committee and those responsible for implementing the summer programs and activities, which contribute to preparing an educated and aware generation.
Ibtisam al-Mahatori, head of the sub-committee for girls' summer courses at the Secretariat, explained that competitions represent an important avenue for honing talents and developing scientific and cognitive abilities. They foster a spirit of positive competition, build students' confidence, and provide them with an opportunity to showcase their creativity in a stimulating educational environment.
