Sana’a Concludes Prophet’s Birthday Football Championship with September 21 Team Triumph

Sana'a: The Prophet's Birthday Football Championship concluded today in Sana'a Governorate, organized by the Office of Youth and Sports and the Youth Unit for Mobilization in the governorate. The final match was held between the September 21 Team from Sana'a Al-Jadid District and the Central Regions Team from Sanhan and Bani Bahloul District, ending with a 3-2 victory for the former.

According to Yemen News Agency, during the closing ceremony-attended by the Governorate's Deputy for the Education and Youth Sector, Talib Dahhan, and the Director of Sana'a Al-Jadid District, Abdullah Al-Marouni-Director of the Youth and Sports Office, Abdulmohsen Al-Sharif, explained that the championship lasted fifty days and featured 40 teams representing youth, junior, and children's categories. He praised the participants for demonstrating a strong spirit of faith and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

Al-Sharif commended the organizing committee, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Governorate of Sana'a, and Sana'a Al-Jadid District for their support in ensuring the tournament's success. At the conclusion, the September 21 Team was crowned champion, receiving the Prophet's Birthday Cup, gold medals, and sports uniforms. The runner-up received silver medals and sports uniforms, while the Martyr Basheer Al-Yemeni Team from Sana'a Al-Jadid was honored with the Fair Play Award.

Additionally, the Saba News Agency Office in the governorate was awarded the Sports Media Cup, alongside honors for members of the organizing committee.
