Sana'a: The Economy, Industry and Investment Office in the Capital Sana'a destroyed approximately 203.8 tons of expired and unfit food products during February as part of its ongoing market monitoring efforts.
According to Yemen News Agency, Director of the office, Majed al-Sada, stated that the destruction was carried out following legal procedures and was supervised by a representative from the Public Prosecution. The confiscated items included juices, legumes, dairy products, yogurt, buttermilk, and cosmetics. These items were seized during inspection campaigns conducted by field committees in various markets and commercial shops across the city's districts.
Al-Sada confirmed that inspection and monitoring teams will persist with their field campaigns throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The aim is to maintain market stability and address any violations that may arise.
