Sana'a: The executive office in the Sana'a governorate, led by Secretary-General of the Local Council Abdulqader Al-Jilani, convened to discuss performance reports, future plans, and methods to enhance administrative and developmental operations within the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting included members of the Administrative Board, Abdul Salam Al-Jaifi and Ali Al-Suhaili, alongside directors of executive offices. They focused on outlining mechanisms for preparing annual plans and emphasized the need for a comprehensive development plan that improves performance, maintains current standards, and coordinates with directorates for realistic planning.
A committee was formed, headed by the Deputy Governor for Financial Affairs, involving officials from the Planning Sector, Legal Office, Civil Service Office, and Reports Committee, to establish the preparation of future plans with a set timeline. A workshop will be organized to support this initiative.
The meeting reviewed compliance levels regarding the submission of annual reports from the executive offices. It was decided that offices delayed in their submissions must complete their reports within two days.
Discussions also centered around the Finance Office's report on revenue collection, leading to an agreement to conduct meetings between Directors of Financial Resources, the Finance Office, and Executive Offices to address shortcomings and enhance revenue levels.
The Executive Office instructed Directors of the Executive Offices to expedite outstanding financial balances and present a resolution plan within two days.
Additionally, the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit's report was reviewed, focusing on loans to cooperative societies and project implementation to bolster the agricultural sector. The Traffic Department's report on traffic management was acknowledged, and a letter of appreciation was sent for their efforts in improving traffic conditions.
The meeting also explored a joint mechanism between the Media Office and the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) to document executive office achievements.
For capacity building, the Executive Office approved training programs for administrative staff to improve institutional efficiency.
The Secretary-General of the Local Council highlighted the necessity of collective efforts to enhance executive performance and meet citizen expectations, stressing the importance of translating meeting outcomes into tangible actions. He reiterated the leadership's commitment to overcoming obstacles to ensure successful service delivery.
