Sana'a: The Sana'a Governorate branch of the General Authority for Zakat has commenced an initiative to distribute in-kind zakat, including crops, fruits, and food baskets, to 17,105 impoverished families across all districts.
According to Yemen News Agency, during the launch event, Sheikh Shamsan Abu Nashatan, head of the General Authority for Zakat, emphasized that the project represents the essence of zakat. He highlighted its role in demonstrating the values of Islam, fostering social solidarity, and supporting those in need. The initiative aims to provide assistance to the needy, the poor, and the destitute families throughout the governorate.
