Sana'a:The Executive Committee of the Sana'a Governorate Local Council, led by Governor Abdul-Basit Al-Hadi, convened to evaluate reports and explore ways to enhance executive and service performance in the governorate.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed the progress of decisions made in previous sessions, emphasizing the need to intensify efforts to improve services for citizens. Discussions included proposals for development projects in the governorate's center and several districts, as well as recommendations concerning loans provided to cooperative associations. The committee resolved not to grant new loans until existing loans are settled or replaced.
The committee approved the procurement of educational screens and solar power systems for the governorate's educational sector. The Deputy Governor for Financial Affairs was tasked with overseeing the procurement process in accordance with specified requirements.
Additionally, the committee assigned the Executive Unit for Projects to implement a project aimed at improving and rehabilitating the median strip of 28th Street in Haziz, Al-Wahdah area, Sanhan and Bani Bahloul District. Another project was approved to expand, grade, and pave challenging sections of the Al-Salaf-Shazyo road in the Al-Suds and Al-Hatab areas, Al-Haymah Al-Kharijiyah District. This project will cover nine kilometers with a six-meter-wide roadway, including 54,000 square meters for expansion, grading, and stone paving of 200 meters of difficult sections, four meters wide.
Governor Al-Hadi emphasized the committee's supervisory role in overcoming obstacles, facilitating implementation, and ensuring financial and accompanying oversight of development projects. He highlighted the need for correcting errors and addressing any shortcomings in these initiatives.
