Sana'a: The Sana'a local authority on Saturday honored a number of traffic police officers in recognition of their efforts in serving the public, managing traffic during the rainy season, and securing mass public events.
According to Yemen News Agency, the ceremony recognized Colonel Riyadh Taher, head of the Maeen Traffic District, along with assistants Yasser Al-Shujaa and Mohammed Al-Marhabi. They received certificates of appreciation and cash awards for rescuing a woman and her child from floodwaters at Madhbah Roundabout.
Several other traffic officers were also honored for directing traffic during heavy rainfall, assisting stranded motorists, helping residents, and clearing floodwater drainage channels.
