Sana'a: Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulwahid Abu Ras sent on Saturday a cable of condolences to Khalil al-Hayya, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), on the second anniversary of the martyrdom of the mujahid Dr. Ismail Haniyeh. In the cable, the Deputy Foreign Minister praised the virtues of the late Dr. Ismail Haniyeh and his life of jihad, filled with dedication, sacrifice, and resistance in the cause of God and in support of Palestine and its just cause.

According to Yemen News Agency, Abu Ras expressed the Republic of Yemen's solidarity with the Palestinian people and their resistance forces on this painful anniversary. He highlighted the sensitive timing of this remembrance as the Palestinian struggle for dignity, honor, and liberation persists against the Zionist Jews and their regional and international partners.

He stated, "We in the Republic of Yemen, as we wage the battle for sovereignty and independence, remain and will continue to remain committed to our vision regarding the central issue of the nation, Palestine. Our approach is based on humanitarian, religious, principled, and ethical grounding."

Abu Ras further emphasized Yemen's support by saying, "The Republic of Yemen is closely following the ongoing negotiations and supports the resistance. We assure you that Yemen, its leadership, government, and people, stand with our Palestinian brothers and sisters and will not abandon them. Allah Almighty is with us and with you, and He will not forsake us all."
