Sana’a International Airport Hosts Event to Mark Noble Mawlid

Sana'a: The General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology, represented by Sana'a International Airport, held a speech event in honor of Mawlid al-Nabawi. The event saw participation from the Authority's leaders and various social figures.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Airport Director General, Khaled Al-Sha'if, emphasized that the occasion serves as a moment to reflect on the lessons of resilience from the Prophet's life in the face of aggression and siege. Al-Sha'if highlighted the airport's continued operations despite direct targeting, asserting that any new escalation would be met with the Yemeni people's enduring resolve. He also urged the public to partake in the central event on the 12th of Rabi' al-Awwal.

Cultural activist Hassan Al-Azzi remarked that the siege would be countered with equal measures, with the armed forces prepared to introduce new deterrence strategies. Allamah Ghaleb Amer stated that observing Mawlid is a religious obligation to reinforce faith and derive values of patience and sacrifice from the Prophet's life.

The event included chanting, poetry, and a theatrical performance.
