Sana’a Local Council Reviews Executive and Service Performance in Governorate

Sana'a: The Executive Committee of the Local Council in Sana'a Governorate convened a meeting on Monday, led by Governor Abdul Basit Al-Hadi, to assess the level of executive and service performance throughout the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included Local Council Secretary-General Abdul Qader Al-Jilani, focused on evaluating the implementation of outcomes and recommendations from previous meetings. The committee emphasized the necessity to intensify efforts in executing decisions and recommendations, particularly those concerning service projects.

Discussions during the meeting also encompassed a briefing by the governorate's Planning Office on projects slated for removal from the 1447 AH plan and those to be carried forward to the 1448 AH plan, as requested by relevant authorities. Additionally, there was a proposal to reallocate project funds towards purchasing equipment under the 1448 AH plan, based on district requests.

The committee approved the costs related to a road project in Al-Tiyal District, aligning with the recommendations from the Technical Affairs Undersecretary. The committee also reviewed the plan for the Agricultural Projects and Initiatives Financing Unit within the governorate.

Governor Al-Hadi highlighted the importance of considering observations raised during the meeting to rectify shortcomings and enhance performance quality in future plans and projects. He reiterated the committee's supervisory role in overcoming challenges, facilitating work, correcting errors, and addressing deficiencies as they arise.

The meeting stressed the importance of resolving outstanding issues and rectifying shortcomings to improve the efficiency of executive bodies, ultimately serving the public interest.

Attendees of the meeting included Sana'a Governorate Technical Affairs Undersecretary Engineer Saleh Al-Muntasir; Executive Committee members Abdul Salam Al-Jaifi, Mahyoub Mahdi, and Ali Al-Suhaili; and Directors Taha Al-Nono of the Finance Office, Engineer Mohammed Al-Omaisi of the Finance Department at the Governorate's Office, Suwaidan Al-Barah of the Legal Office, Engineer Mohammed Ashiya of the Public Works Office, Engineer Ali Al-Qeiri of the Agriculture Office, Engineer Mohammed Makram of the Executive Unit, Mohammed Miftah of the Initiatives Unit, and Mohammed Sharqan of the Technical Secretariat.
