Sana'a: An expanded educational meeting in the capital Sana'a discussed on Tuesday the progress of education in boys' schools, the challenges facing school administrations and teaching staff.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by Education Sector official Abdulqader Al-Mahdi, Deputy Director of School Activities at the Ministry of Education Abdullah Al-Madani, several education officials, and school principals. The participants reviewed ways to address educational challenges through supportive and constructive approaches.
Participants stressed the importance of coordinated efforts among educational departments, the local community, and parents to improve the quality of education and provide a safe and supportive learning environment that helps build a responsible and aware generation.
The meeting approved a package of measures to enhance the learning environment, reduce student dropout, morning lateness, and strengthen communication between schools and parents regarding students' absences and class dropouts.
Participants also highlighted the key role of school social workers in addressing the causes of dropout and monitoring students' academic performance and behavior through regular monthly action plans.
They further stressed that schools should not prevent late-arriving students from entering, calling instead for positive educational approaches and continuous follow-up to encourage punctuality and improve students' academic and behavioral performance.
