Sana’a Meeting Evaluates Survey and Urban Planning Sector Progress

Sana'a: A meeting held on Sunday at the Survey and Urban Planning Sector, chaired by Minister of Transport and Public Works Mohammed Qahim, reviewed the sector's workflow following its transfer to and integration into the ministry.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting was attended by the ministry's undersecretaries for the Survey and Urban Planning Sector, Eng. Wadie Jahaf, and the Public Works Sector, Eng. Ali Rajeh, along with employees of the Survey and Urban Planning Sector. The discussions focused on the sector's responsibilities and activities following the integration process.

During the meeting, Minister Qahim emphasized developing plans and work mechanisms to improve the performance of the Survey and Urban Planning Sector, highlighting its significant role in urban planning. He also underscored the importance of enhancing services for citizens, noting this as a priority for the ministry.

Qahim affirmed the ministry's dedication to overcoming challenges by identifying solutions to improve the sector's performance. He called for implementing planning tasks aligned with the directives of the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the government to enhance institutional performance and strengthen sector integration.

The minister highlighted unifying efforts, utilizing specialized expertise, and promoting teamwork to meet the responsibilities of the Survey and Urban Planning sectors. This approach aligns with the current stage's requirements and the ministry's objectives of developing the public works and planning sectors.

Eng. Wadie Jahaf discussed issues related to urban planning and proposed ways to improve work mechanisms to enhance urban plans and associated public services. Sector employees expressed their commitment to implementing plans and programs aimed at improving institutional performance and achieving the desired objectives.
