Sana’a Meeting Reviews Cooperation to Boost Economic Development

Sana'a: A meeting in the capital Sana'a discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between the Capital Sana'a and the General Authority for Small and Micro Enterprise Development to support economic empowerment projects and promote sustainable development.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting addressed coordination mechanisms for financing small and micro enterprises across various districts of the Capital Sana'a, alongside programs focused on agricultural and livestock development, vocational training, and capacity building.

Participants also reviewed marketing initiatives aimed at expanding sales channels, including electronic platforms and retail points supported by the Capital Secretariat, as well as the authority's upcoming annual plan aligned with national economic priorities.

Officials emphasized the role of small enterprises in boosting local production, creating sustainable job opportunities, enhancing self-sufficiency, and reducing reliance on imports.

Both sides stressed that continued coordination between local authorities and the development agency is essential for the success and expansion of such initiatives.
