Discussion of Completed Steps to Finalize Integration Process at Tax & Customs Authority

Sana'a: A broad meeting was held on Sunday in Sana'a, chaired by the Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority, Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, to discuss the level of progress achieved in implementing the outcomes and recommendations of the previous meeting regarding the completion of the integration process between the Tax and Customs authorities.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting, which included the Deputy Head of the Authority, Dr. Ahmed Shreem, Authority undersecretaries, and the Deputy Head of the Executive Committee for the integration process, Tariq Al-Buraq, reviewed the procedures and steps accomplished within the framework of merging units and sectors. This aims to enhance institutional performance efficiency and achieve integration between the various components of the Authority.

The participants also addressed a number of technical and organizational issues related to the integration process, as well as mechanisms to overcome challenges and obstacles that may affect workflow, ensuring the execution of tasks according to the specified timelines.

Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi stressed the importance of redoubling efforts in the coming phase and accelerating the completion of remaining procedures to finalize the integration process in an effective and well-organized manner, emphasizing the need to promptly report any difficulties or requirements that need support or intervention.

He also praised the role played by the Executive Committee for Integration, commending the positive results and practical steps it has achieved in advancing the integration process.

The Acting Head of the Tax and Customs Authority further affirmed that the success of this process represents a key pillar for developing institutional performance, improving efficiency, and enhancing the quality of services provided.
