Sana'a: Mayor of the Capital Sana'a Dr. Hamoud Ubad and First Deputy Khaled al-Madani on Sunday inspected progress on the rehabilitation of al-Maqaleh Street in al-Sabeen district and a rainwater drainage canal project in Bani al-Harith district.
According to Yemen News Agency, officials reviewed asphalt restoration works on al-Maqaleh Street, a locally funded project costing 140 million rials, now 85% complete. The works include resurfacing, side trench repairs, and rehabilitation of connecting roads.
They also inspected the second phase of a 1,800-meter rainwater drainage canal in Bani al-Harith, funded through local and community initiatives at a cost of 406 million rials.
The project involves pipe installation and concrete casting to improve flood management. Officials praised progress and urged timely completion in line with technical standards.
