Sana'a: The Security Directorate of Sana'a Governorate has clarified the circumstances surrounding a video circulating on social media regarding one of the resorts located in the Jaraf area of Bilad al-Rus District, affirming that the speculations and interpretations circulating about the incident are not based on accurate facts, fall within the scope of rumors and misinformation. According to Yemen News Agency, the Criminal Investigations Department in the governorate explained in a statement that the incident dates back to 10 January 2025, when it received a report from the management of Ain al-Fawara Resort alleging that one of its employees had attempted to unlawfully photograph a guest. Legal procedures were immediately taken upon receiving the report, and the suspect was apprehended in coordination with the resort management. The investigation procedures were completed before the case file was referred to the competent prosecution office in Sanhan and Bilad al-Rus. The statement confirmed that the ca se went through all stages of litigation procedures in accordance with the law and was handled and processed legally at the time. As part of preventive and precautionary measures, the Criminal Investigations Department stated that it has instructed the resort management to adopt stricter measures and procedures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future. It also directed all chalets and tourism facilities in the governorate to adhere to measures that ensure the privacy, security, and safety of visitors, in parallel with ongoing field inspection and monitoring campaigns to verify compliance with these regulations. The Sana'a Governorate Security Directorate called on media outlets and social media activists to verify accuracy and credibility, obtain information from official sources, and avoid publishing or circulating rumors and unverified information.
