Sana'a: The second edition of the Late Mohamed Ahmed Jamman Basketball Championship kicked off on Wednesday at the Sana'a Unity Club Stadium. The tournament is organized by Al-Wehda Club under the Capital Branch of the Basketball Federation and is sponsored by the Jamman Trading and Investment Company. According to Yemen News Agency, Sana'a Unity made a strong start to the tournament with a decisive 70-33 victory over Shaab Ibb. The team initially faced a competitive first quarter, ending it with a narrow lead of 17-15, but then managed to dominate the subsequent quarters to secure a comfortable win. In another match, the Aden National Team secured a victory against Ahli Sana'a with a score of 67-48. Aden started strong with a 12-8 lead in the first quarter. Although they trailed in the second quarter with a score of 17-20, they came back strong in the third quarter with a 21-8 run and maintained their lead in the fourth quarter, finishing with a 16-12 advantage. This win places Aden National Team alongside Sana'a Unity at the top of the championship standings. The tournament will continue with upcoming matches where Aden will take on Shaab Ibb, and Sana'a Unity will compete against Ahli Sana'a.
