Sana'a: The Political Science Department at the College of Commerce and Economics, Sana'a University, and the Yemen Horizons Center for Research and Studies have signed a memorandum of cooperation to enhance research and training partnerships. The agreement, formalized on Tuesday, aims to foster collaboration between the two entities.

According to Yemen News Agency, the memorandum was signed by College Vice Dean for Community Service Dr. Khaled Al-Matari and Yemen Horizons Executive Director Yasser Al-Matari. It focuses on providing specialized training in research and study methods for political science students and expands field training opportunities. This initiative is aligned with the college's first consultative meeting outcomes with institutions engaged in political science.

The agreement aims to improve practical skills in political analysis, research, and policy paper writing for students and graduates, particularly in areas like Yemeni foreign policy and regional and international affairs. This will aid in developing their professional skills and opportunities in research centers and political analysis.

Moreover, the memorandum outlines joint training courses on political analysis, research paper writing, negotiation, crisis management, conflict resolution, diplomatic protocols, decision-making, effective communication, and both quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis, as well as public opinion trends.

Both parties have agreed to encourage political science students to participate in the center's seminars and workshops and engage in public discussions on regional and international political issues. Additionally, they will facilitate the involvement of political science faculty members and postgraduate students in the center's research and training activities.
