Sana’a University College of Commerce Triumphs in Volleyball Championship

Sana'a: The College of Commerce and Economics team won the Sana'a University Volleyball Championship, organized by the university over two weeks.

According to Yemen News Agency, the Commerce College team secured the title after defeating the College of Physical Education team 2-0 in the final, held as part of celebrations marking the anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad's birthday.

Sana'a University President Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaithi affirmed the university's commitment to student sports activities and to expanding athletic competitions among its colleges, noting their role in promoting student engagement, competition, cooperation, and academic achievement.

He said the university is preparing to launch a football championship for the Sana'a University Cup in the coming period, further strengthening sports activities within university programs and providing students with opportunities to showcase their athletic talents.

At the conclusion, Dr. Al-Bukhaithi, College of Commerce and Economics Dean Dr. Hani Al-Maghlas, and Youth Welfare and Student Activities Director Abdulqader Al-Gharyani presented the championship trophy and gold medals to the Commerce College team, while the runners-up, the College of Physical Education team, received silver medals.
