Sana'a:Sana'a University Rector Dr. Mohammed Al-Bukhaiti inaugurated a photo exhibition on Tuesday to honor martyrs, as part of the activities marking the 1448 AH Annual Martyr's Anniversary. The event featured photographs of martyred leaders from the Al-Qassam and Al-Aqsa Brigades, the Axis of Resistance, Yemen, and university affiliates who lost their lives.
According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Al-Bukhaiti highlighted the remarkable history of Yemeni fighters over the past 12 years, emphasizing their steadfastness, sacrifice, and resilience in the face of what he termed as forces of arrogance, injustice, and tyranny. He noted that Yemen's historical trial demonstrated their ability to withstand advanced warfare arsenals and strong international coalitions.
Dr. Al-Bukhaiti also stated that the coalition of aggression aimed to subdue Yemen quickly, but the resilience of Yemeni fighters turned the situation into a strategic opportunity. This allowed them to advance in awareness and struggle, shifting from defense to deterrence and establishing new equations in the region. He explained that Yemen's support for Gaza and Palestine was rooted in religious, moral, and humanitarian obligations, uniting free people despite suffering from blockade and aggression.
He further elaborated on Yemen's transition from blockade to military manufacturing, including missile and drone capabilities, which altered the balance and forced aggressive forces to seek resolutions. Dr. Al-Bukhaiti asserted that Yemen's experience affirmed divine principles, with victory achieved through struggle, sacrifice, and adherence to truth rather than just arms.
Sana'a University Cultural Adviser Abdul Salam Al-Mumayaz remarked that commemorating the anniversary at the university reflects the awareness of Yemen's sacrifices and the pursuit of truth. He highlighted shifts in the regional landscape towards de-escalation and negotiations, crediting the steadfastness of the Yemeni people. Al-Mumayaz emphasized that genuine reconciliation must proceed through Sana'a, portraying it as the decision-making center for peace.
Al-Mumayaz reiterated Yemen's peace-seeking stance since the September 21 Revolution and emphasized the Yemeni people's support for Gaza based on religious and moral principles. He also addressed the media disinformation against Yemen, urging efforts to convey the true picture to Arab and Muslim audiences and expose the nature of their confrontation with the Saudi enemy.
