Participants also reviewed a report on the number of landfill sites across governorates and districts, their operational readiness, infrastructure needs, and the legislative and legal frameworks governing waste recycling.
The workshop concluded with participants emphasizing the importance of conducting comprehensive field assessments of landfill sites, including their number, capacity, and condition, to support the preparation of future studies, programs, and implementation plans.
