The attack resulted in the deaths of 23 civilians, a toll that remains subject to increase.

According to Yemen News Agency, Brigadier General Saree explained: "Regarding the crime committed by the criminal Saudi enemy last Monday, September 7, 2026-targeting the Central Prison in Al-Hazm, Al-Jawf Governorate, and claiming the lives of a large number of inmates and visitors, including women and children-an F-15SA warplane took off at 16:30 from King Khalid Air Base in Khamis Mushait. It targeted the prison with two airstrikes and returned to the same base in Khamis Mushait at 16:45."

The Armed Forces spokesperson emphasized that the Saudi enemy's attempts to evade responsibility for its crimes and aggression against the country would not absolve it of the consequences and repercussions of this aggression and criminality, regardless of how it tries to cover them up.
