Sanaa: In his fifteenth Ramadan lecture for the year 1447 AH, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi delivered a discourse focusing on the themes of tyranny and oppression, drawing parallels between historical and contemporary examples. He emphasized how tyrants throughout history have sought to establish an order where the oppressed are silenced and any attempt to resist is criminalized.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdulmalik highlighted the ongoing struggles faced by the Islamic Ummah against modern-day oppressors, specifically naming the United States, Israel, and Western allies. He accused these entities of striving to dominate and oppress various communities within the Islamic world, often using propaganda to justify their actions and discredit those who resist.
He drew historical parallels by referencing the story of Prophet Musa (PBUH) from the Quran, illustrating how accusations and propaganda were used to malign Musa's intentions and actions against tyranny. Sayyed Abdulmalik related this to the current situation faced by Palestinians, describing how Zionist forces, supported by Western powers, have committed atrocities while labeling Palestinian resistance as terrorism.
He further criticized certain Arab regimes for their increasing overt alignment with American and Israeli interests, accusing them of betraying the Ummah by supporting oppressors and discouraging resistance. He highlighted the plight of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which he described as being unjustly targeted by American and Israeli aggression, and condemned the support that some Arab regimes provide to foreign military bases used for such aggressions.
Sayyed Abdulmalik emphasized the importance of security awareness and alertness in protecting against the schemes of tyrants, citing the example of a man who warned Prophet Musa (PBUH) of an impending threat to his life. He concluded by reiterating the need for reliance on Allah in the face of tyranny and oppression, urging the Ummah to remain steadfast and principled in their resistance.
The lecture underscored the ongoing challenges faced by the Islamic world in confronting external aggression and internal betrayal, calling for unity and vigilance in the pursuit of justice and freedom.
