Sanaa: In his third Ramadan lecture, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi delved into the profound lessons drawn from the story of Prophet Musa (PBUH) as recounted in Surah Al-Qasas. He emphasized the enduring significance of these narratives, imparting guidance to believers facing contemporary challenges.
According to Yemen News Agency, Sayyed Abdulmalik highlighted the contrasting models presented in the story of Musa and Firaawn. He described Musa as a symbol of divine mercy and guidance, embodying trust in Allah and perseverance against tyranny. Conversely, Firaawn was portrayed as a figure of extreme tyranny and oppression, exploiting his power to claim divinity and subjugate the people of Egypt. The narrative, as revealed in the Quran, serves as a pure and factual account, free from falsehoods, intended to strengthen believers' faith and resolve.
The lecture further explored the Quranic verse {'But it was Our will to favour those who were oppressed in the land'}[Al-Qasas 28:5], illustrating Allah's enduring will to deliver the oppressed. Sayyed Abdulmalik underscored the importance of the oppressed being conscious, aware, and striving for change, as Allah's support is extended to those who seek transformation and refuse to accept subjugation. He referenced historical examples, such as the early Islamic period, to demonstrate how divine intervention can lead to profound transformations, elevating the oppressed to positions of leadership and influence.
Sayyed Abdulmalik concluded by urging the audience to recognize the divine laws that govern the deliverance of the oppressed, emphasizing the need for awareness and action. He prayed for Allah's mercy on the martyrs, healing for the wounded, freedom for captives, and victory for the faithful, reflecting the enduring hope and strength drawn from the teachings of the Quran.
