Sanaa: Sayyed Abdulmalik Badr al-Din al-Houthi delivered his ninth Ramadan lecture of 1447 AH, focusing on divine care as illustrated in Islamic teachings and history. The lecture centered on a Quranic verse from the story of Prophet Musa (PBUH) in Surah Al-Qasas, emphasizing the divine support Musa’s mother received during difficult times.

According to Yemen News Agency, al-Houthi discussed how Allah’s care transformed Musa’s mother’s anxiety into reassurance, highlighting the importance of steadfastness in faith during challenging circumstances. The lecture elaborated on the concept of divine care, which strengthens believers during perilous stages and psychological pressures that threaten faith.

Al-Houthi further explored historical examples of tyrannical powers that eventually collapsed despite their apparent might. He emphasized the lesson that Allah’s promises are true and that faith plays a crucial role in overcoming oppression. The discussion touched upon the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, criticizing attempts at peace that, according to al-Houthi, enable further injustices.

Highlighting the historical context, al-Houthi pointed out how empires like the British Empire eventually fell, reinforcing the notion that oppressive regimes are not invincible. He stressed the importance of re-establishing a connection with the Quran to navigate contemporary challenges and urged the Muslim community to act in accordance with divine promises.

The lecture concluded with a call for reflection on the upbringing of Prophet Musa (PBUH), who was divinely prepared for his mission. Al-Houthi emphasized the need for the Muslim Ummah to understand and believe in Allah’s promises, act upon them, and apply practical measures to confront challenges effectively.
