Sana'a: The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has issued a forecast predicting scattered thunderstorms of varying intensity across several governorates over the next 24 hours.
According to Yemen News Agency, the center's weather bulletin highlights the potential for thunderstorms, sometimes accompanied by hail, affecting parts of the governorates of Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Amran, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Hodeida, and the Tihama Plain. Additionally, scattered rains, occasionally with thunder, are expected in parts of the governorates of Sana'a, Dhale'e, Bayda, Shabwah, Lahj, the highlands of Abyan, and Socotra.
The center reported rainfall measurements over the past 24 hours, with meteorological stations recording 1.8 mm in Hodeida and Al Zahra, 1.8 mm in Amran, and 1.3 mm in Hajjah. Outside the stations' range, scattered rains of varying intensity were observed in parts of the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Al Mahwit, Sana'a, Raymah, Dhamar, Ibb, Taiz, Socotra, and the Tihama Plain.
The center has issued warnings to citizens regarding potential dangers. It advised against being in or crossing flood channels and valleys during and after rainfall, cautioned against lightning and thunderstorms, and advised against crossing ground bridges during floods. Drivers were also warned of reduced visibility due to low clouds and rainfall on mountain roads.
