Sana'a: On this day, May 5, the US-Saudi-Emirati aggression and its mercenaries targeted civilians, their property, airports, universities, and residential neighborhoods in several governorates, resulting in deaths, injuries, and extensive destruction.
According to Yemen News Agency, on May 5, 2015, the Saudi enemy launched a series of attacks on various districts in Saada Governorate, deploying 22 missiles and artillery shells on Al-Malahiz, Al-Dhaher, and Wadi Lih. Additionally, the Al-Hajlah area in Razih District and other areas in Al-Dhaher District faced missile and mortar shell attacks. The Jarman station at the Talh Junction in Sahar District was also targeted.
Air raids by the aggression's forces were rampant and widespread, affecting areas like Al-Qafl, Al-Abla, Fallah, Ahma, Talh, Mandaba, Al-Omrah, and Bani Ma'in, resulting in significant damage to farms and infrastructure.
The aggressive actions continued with artillery shelling in the border areas of Al-Hajlah, Shada, and Al-Hasama. Additionally, nine shells and missiles targeted Al-Safiyah, Jabal Al-Sabbah, and the Shada Triangle, with border areas in Baqim district experiencing further attacks.
Further aggression on May 5, 2016, saw coalition airstrikes on Sarwah district and multiple locations in Marib and Sana'a Governorates, including Mount Haylan and Bani Bariq. Taiz Governorate also witnessed heavy shelling by coalition mercenaries across several districts using various weaponry.
On May 5, 2017, five civilians were tragically killed by a mortar shell in the Kalaba area of Taiz Governorate. Airstrikes in the Mawza' district claimed more lives and damaged local infrastructure, including a school. Numerous other districts, including Sirwah in Marib and Sabrin in Al-Jawf, were targeted by airstrikes and shelling.
The conflict persisted on May 5, 2018, when coalition airstrikes in Al Hudaydah Governorate resulted in the deaths of civilians and destruction of property. Saada Governorate experienced a similar fate with airstrikes targeting homes and infrastructure.
In 2019, mercenary sniper fire and artillery shelling in Hodeida Governorate resulted in civilian casualties. The aggression's air force continued its onslaught with raids on Al-Amshiya in Amran Governorate.
On May 5, 2020, air raids targeted multiple districts in Marib, Jizan, and Sana'a Governorates. Mercenaries established combat fortifications and bombarded Hodeida with artillery and live ammunition.
In 2021, the aggression's air force launched several raids on districts in Marib and Al-Jawf, while spy planes targeted areas in Hodeidah. Artillery shelling by mercenaries further exacerbated the situation.
The violence carried on into 2022, with landmine explosions and reconnaissance aircraft raids causing further civilian casualties and destruction in Hodeida and Taiz Governorates. Combat fortifications and artillery shelling by mercenaries continued to affect several areas.
