Scholar Muftah Discusses Enhancing Electricity Service Stability with Oil & Electricity Ministers

Sanaa: First Deputy Prime Minister, Scholar Mohammed Muftah, engaged in discussions with Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Abdullah Al-Ameer and Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Dr. Ali Saif to explore avenues for strengthening the stability of electricity services facilitated by the Public Electricity Corporation.

According to Yemen News Agency, Scholar Muftah underscored the significance of fostering collaborative efforts between the two ministries to ensure the consistency and reliability of services offered by the Ministry of Electricity, through the Public Electricity Corporation. He stressed the necessity for clear delineation of roles and responsibilities between the ministries to guarantee the uninterrupted generation of electricity by the Corporation, while also meeting its commitments to the oil company.

Scholar Muftah further emphasized the collective responsibility of various government entities to prioritize and serve the public interest effectively. The meeting, which saw the participation of Deputy Minister of Electricity, Energy, and Water Adel Bader, Director of the Public Electricity Corporation Dr. Mishal Al-Rifi, and Deputy Director of the Yemen Oil Company Yasser Al-Khatib, resulted in an agreement on implementing a joint mechanism. This mechanism aims to ensure the stable generation of electricity through coordinated efforts between the Electricity Corporation and the Oil Company.
