Sanaa: The Scientific Council of the General Authority of Antiquities and Museums held a meeting on Wednesday, led by Authority Chairman Abbad Al-Hayal, to assess its past activities and outline plans for the future.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting focused on evaluating the outcomes of the previous session, reviewing recent correspondence, and discussing proposals for enhanced coordination with government bodies regarding antiquities-related issues.

In addition, the council made a significant decision to contact Yemeni universities to ensure that research published in the Raydan journal is acknowledged as part of the researchers' promotion requirements. The Raydan journal is a peer-reviewed publication that specializes in epigraphic and archaeological studies, and this move aims to bolster academic pursuits within these fields.
