Scientific Symposium in Sana’a on Effects of Cesarean Sections

Sana'a: A scientific symposium held in Sana'a, organized by the National Women's Committee in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Environment, on "The Effects of Unjustified Cesarean Sections on Maternal and Child Health," emphasized the importance of correcting misconceptions about the "ease" of cesarean sections.

According to Yemen News Agency, the symposium stressed the need to raise awareness about the risks of cesarean sections to maternal health, including the possibility of hemorrhage or placenta previa, and to highlight the benefits of natural childbirth by reassuring and training mothers, and encouraging communication with healthcare providers. This reduces fear of labor pains and minimizes unnecessary surgical interventions.
