Sana'a: The second free charitable medical camp for children concluded on Tuesday at Kuwait University Hospital in the capital Sana'a. Hospital Director Dr. Abdul-Latif Abu Talib stated that the four-day camp aimed to provide free medical, therapeutic, and diagnostic services to children across various specialties, including endocrinology, pulmonology, cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology, neurology, and hematology, as well as neonatal care.
According to Yemen News Agency, the initiative involved a team of elite pediatric consultants from the hospital and included the free distribution of medications. Dr. Abu Talib emphasized that the camp provided services to 1,300 cases, highlighting the importance of free medical initiatives in reaching patients unable to afford treatment costs. He noted that the camp's success was the result of cooperation between health authorities and supporting entities.
Dr. Abu Talib acknowledged the support and cooperation of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Environment and Sanaa University in organizing such medical camps, which embody values of solidarity and benevolence while strengthening the role of health institutions in serving the community. He also affirmed the hospital's commitment to continuing such initiatives and medical camps to alleviate patient suffering, particularly given the country's current circumstances, and commended the efforts of all consulting, medical, technical, and administrative staff who contributed to the camp's success.
