Sana'a: A project to distribute 10,000 coffee and almond seedlings was launched in al-Saddah district of Ibb province to support farmers and boost agricultural production. The initiative, implemented by al-Saddah Agricultural Cooperative Association and funded by the Agricultural and Fisheries Production Promotion Fund, aims to provide free seedlings to farmers across the district.
According to Yemen News Agency, District Director Mohammed Al-Darwani highlighted the project's role in improving crop productivity, particularly in Wadi Bana, and meeting farmers' needs. He noted that the effort aligns with national plans to encourage replacing qat cultivation with coffee due to its economic value.
Officials called on farmers to take advantage of the agricultural season by planting fruit trees and cash crops, contributing to agricultural development and progress toward self-sufficiency.
