Senior Political Council Member Bin Habtoor Offers Condolences on Passing of Dr. Abdulrahman Bamataraf

Sana'a: Member of the Supreme Political Council, Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Habtoor, sent a cable of condolences on the passing of Dr. Abdulrahman Mohammed Abdelqader Bamataraf, who spent a lifetime serving the nation in both the academic and agricultural fields.

According to Yemen News Agency, Bin Habtoor, in his message to the deceased's sons, Mohammed and Ahmed, and to all members of the Bamataraf family, praised the late professor's virtues and his major contributions to academic education. These contributions include his role as President of Hadhramaut University and Professor of Soil and Water at the Faculty of Agriculture, Sana'a University.

He highlighted the great efforts the deceased made in supporting institutional, research, and development work in the agricultural sector. Dr. Bamataraf held significant positions such as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Chairman of the Agricultural Research Authority, and Yemen's Permanent Representative to the FAO.

Bin Habtoor noted the late professor's dedication and integrity in carrying out his duties in all positions he held, embodying discipline and commitment to the values and ethics of public service.

Furthermore, Bin Habtoor affirmed that with Dr. Bamataraf's passing, the nation has lost a distinguished national figure and a man known for his humility and kindness to all. He expressed his deepest condolences and sympathy to the deceased's sons, family, and the entire Bamataraf household.
