Shabwa: The local authority and executive office in Shabwa Governorate have made an appeal to the wise figures among the governorate's sons to prioritize reason and spare Shabwa from the devastation of war and conflict, which burdens the residents of the governorate.

According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Awad Al-Oulaqi addressed the recent events in the governorate, which resulted in casualties, and highlighted that Shabwa's decisions and appointments are currently influenced by the government-in-exile under the supervision of the Saudi High Commissioner, Falah Al-Shahrani, and the Saudi Ambassador, Mohammed Al-Jaber. This situation has led to the replacement of Emirati occupation with Saudi occupation.

Governor Al-Oulaqi called for the wise figures among the governorate's sons to exercise reason and preserve the governorate from war and conflict, as it was in 2015. He emphasized that during that period, the army and popular committees protected citizens' property and secured the governorate's state institutions and infrastructure, driven by their responsibility to shield the governorate from war.

He underscored the importance of unifying ranks to serve the national interest and liberate the governorate and the south from Saudi and Emirati occupation. He highlighted the responsibility of the governorate's sheikhs, notables, social, tribal, security, and military figures in prioritizing reason and wisdom to prevent the governorate from being drawn into armed conflicts instigated by Gulf states to sow discord within Shabwani society.

Governor Al-Oulaqi urged everyone to practice restraint and avoid violence, which would complicate the situation further due to the Saudi-Emirati occupation's influence. He expressed regret over the casualties resulting from the clashes in the governorate.
