Shabwa:Shabwa Governor Awad Al-Awlaqi has urged the tribes in the governorate, as well as those in the southern and eastern regions, to be cautious of Saudi efforts to involve them in a conflict that does not serve their interests or that of their homeland.
According to Yemen News Agency, Governor Al-Awlaqi emphasized that the ongoing war led by the free people of Yemen is a legitimate struggle against Saudi Arabia. The aim is to lift the blockade, alleviate the resulting widespread suffering, and counteract the reckless exploitation of Yemen's resources by the Saudis. He accused Saudi Arabia of inciting internal conflicts among Yemenis to benefit Saudi, American, and Israeli interests.
The governor made it clear that the Yemeni Armed Forces do not target the southern and eastern governorates, nor do they intend to invade these areas. Instead, they are united in defending Yemen's sovereignty and securing the rights of its people against Saudi aggression. He highlighted that over twelve years of conflict have revealed the deceptive nature of Saudi slogans, which have left many in the southern and eastern regions suffering from poverty and halted salary payments. Resources have been diverted to the Saudi National Bank, with only Saudi proxies receiving dollar-denominated salaries.
Governor Al-Awlaqi reiterated that the tribes of Shabwa and the South, along with all Yemeni citizens, have historically resisted submission to foreign occupiers, and he urged them to continue upholding their national and historical responsibilities. This call to action comes at a critical time as Yemen seeks to reclaim its rights and sovereignty.
