Shahrazad Foundation and Al-Deira Mall Host Exhibition for Heritage Products by Small Family Businesses

Sana'a: The Shahrazad Cultural Foundation, in partnership with Al-Deira Grand Mall, has organized an exhibition and bazaar dedicated to showcasing heritage products crafted by small family businesses. The two-day event, held in the Al-Deira Mall hall, features a variety of pavilions displaying an array of products, including agate and silver items, accessories, incense, perfumes, fashion, bags, sweets, pastries, paintings, drawings, and other artworks.

According to Yemen News Agency, Dr. Mona Al-Muhaqri, Chairperson of the Shahrazad Foundation, highlighted the significance of the exhibition as a model partnership between cultural civil society organizations and the private sector, represented by shopping centers and business leaders. She noted that the event provides a platform to promote the products of small family businesses, encouraging creativity and quality. Dr. Al-Muhaqri expressed appreciation for the support from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism leadership, and Al-Deira Mall in facilitating the event.

Jamila Al-Salwi, Director of the Women Entrepreneurs Department at the General Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, underscored the importance of such exhibitions in showcasing the efforts of small family businesses. She emphasized the Union's commitment to promoting these events and supporting small family enterprises, aiming to elevate them to become leaders and successful businesswomen. Al-Salwi reiterated the Union's readiness to cooperate with and support these businesses by providing necessary facilities.

Hamir Al-Hashadi, Director of Al-Deira Mall, reaffirmed the mall's commitment to supporting small family businesses and women entrepreneurs. He noted the positive impact of marketing their products on living standards and the broader community. Al-Hashadi emphasized the mall's dedication to supporting civil society organizations and cultural institutions that aid small family businesses and women entrepreneurs, with the goal of promoting local products and industries and achieving self-sufficiency.
