Sana'a: The Chairmanship of the Shura Council convened in the capital, chaired by Council Speaker Mohammed al-Aidarous, to review the annual report of the Community Committee and discuss future plans. The meeting aimed to assess the societal activities undertaken by council members for the year 1446 AH.
According to Yemen News Agency, the annual report highlighted 4,152 field activities across cultural, social, and media domains. These initiatives focused on resolving community issues and implementing projects based on public needs. The Chairmanship commended the active involvement of both the council members and the Community Committee, emphasizing the need for increased efforts in addressing community concerns and reporting essential service needs to the Council Chairmanship.
A significant point of discussion was the need to educate the community about external threats to national security. The council stressed the importance of enhancing security awareness to counter potential plots targeting stability and public tranquility. The Chairmanship also praised directives from the Revolution Leader, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction, which have played a role in stabilizing security and economic conditions across the Republic's governorates.
Additionally, the council reviewed a report by Engineer Lutf al-Jarmouzi, head of the Political, Foreign Relations, and Expatriates Committee. This report focused on strengthening relations between the Shura Council and the Association of Senates, Shura, and Similar Councils in Africa and the Arab world. The aim is to enhance the council's regional parliamentary presence, with recommendations and mechanisms approved by the Presidency.
The Chairmanship discussed the general directives for the council and committees' work plan for the year 1447 AH. It stressed the integration of directives from the revolutionary leadership, the Supreme Political Council, and the Government of Change and Construction's program into the committees' current plans.
Mohammed al-Durra, Deputy Speaker for Organizational Affairs, was assigned to follow up with the permanent committees, ensuring their plans align with general directives and adapt to current realities. The meeting concluded with a review and approval of tasks from the previous meeting and other agenda items.
