Taiz: The Shura Council: congratulated on Wednesday the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Axis of Jihad and Resistance on their historic strategic victory, which decisively shattered the illusions of the Zionist-American aggression.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Council considered US President Donald Trump's capitulation to reality and his acceptance of a ceasefire after the 48-hour deadline a fundamental shift in the balance of power. This shift has led to a change in American rhetoric from threats of "annihilation of a civilization" to acceptance of Iran's "Ten Points" as a practical basis for negotiation.
The Shura Council stressed the necessity for international and regional mediators to fully assume their responsibilities in guaranteeing and overseeing the de-escalation. It noted that the credibility of mediators today hinges on their ability to curb American arrogance and ensure that the language of escalation and blackmail is not reinstated.
The statement saluted the great sacrifices of the Iranian people and their leadership, emphasizing that the blood of the martyred leaders, foremost among them Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has yielded glory and victory, transforming the enemy's threats of a "lightning strike" and regime change into a resounding defeat and unprecedented political and military disarray.
It praised the unity of the resistance axis fronts in Yemen, Lebanon, and Iraq, which have proven their effectiveness as a significant international force. It stressed that this victory has restored the dignity of the nation and established a new equation that puts an end to American hegemony and confirms the imminent demise of the temporary Zionist entity.
The Shura Council condemned the Zionist entity's continued treacherous and aggressive raids on southern Lebanon and its targeting of civilians, in a criminal escalation and a desperate attempt by the entity to escape its strategic defeats. It affirmed its full support for the Lebanese people and their resistance in the battle to defend sovereignty and dignity.
