Sana'a: The Shura Council held an angry protest on Wednesday to denounce the American insult to the Holy Qur'an. Council members and General Secretariat staff strongly condemned the act, describing it as part of a systematic Western campaign led by the United States and global Zionism against Islamic sanctities.
According to Yemen News Agency, a statement issued by the Council rejected any justification for the insult under claims of freedom of expression, affirming firm adherence to the Qur'an. The statement renewed support for the Palestinian people and held the United States, Britain, and the Zionist entity fully responsible for repeated offenses.
The statement also called for mass public demonstrations and expanded economic boycotts in response to these violations.
