Sana'a: A meeting of the Presidency of the Shura Council, chaired by Council Chairman Mohammed Hussein Al-Eidaroos, discussed reports related to the Council's performance, its social and cultural activities.
According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting reviewed a report on the implementation of the cultural workshops program for Shura Council members during the period from 25 Rajab to 4 Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH.
The Presidency listened to a presentation by the Council's General Mobilization Officer, Hashem Al-Saqqaf, on the progress of the cultural program, which was successfully implemented with members divided into four groups. The meeting also discussed the Community Committee's report for Dhu al-Hijjah 1447 AH, highlighting 294 field activities carried out by Council members, including community, cultural, and media initiatives, as well as field visits to assess citizens' needs.
The Presidency praised the strong participation and efforts of Council members in ensuring the success of the cultural workshops program and commended the role of the General Mobilization Officer in organizing and facilitating the program. It also lauded the sustained field engagement of Council members and the Community Committee, reflected in the implementation of hundreds of community initiatives and activities, stressing the importance of maintaining this cultural and social momentum to strengthen internal cohesion and serve society.
The meeting further reviewed a report by the Health and Population Committee. Committee Chairman Dr. Fikri Al-Aqrabi and Deputy Chairman Ali Al-Muayyad presented the committee's findings on the situation at Al-Thawra General Hospital, including the challenges it faces and the proposed solutions and measures aimed at improving its performance. The Presidency noted the efforts made by the Ministry of Public Health and Population to address the difficulties facing Al-Thawra General Hospital Authority.
The Presidency approved the Health and Population Committee's report and referred it to the main committee for further consideration. The meeting also reviewed, approved its agenda, and endorsed the minutes of its previous session.
