Shura Deputy Engages with Committees on Human Rights and Environmental Concerns

Sana'a: Deputy Head of the Shura Council Mohammed al-Durra met on Tuesday with heads of the Human Rights and Environment Committees to review key issues for 1447 AH, including begging, deforestation, and sustainable tourism.

According to Yemen News Agency, the meeting assessed progress on last year's plans and follow-ups on recommendations related to cancer care, women's shelters, and domestic tourism. Al-Durra urged swift execution of committee tasks, government cooperation, and private sector support for social welfare and economic empowerment, especially for incarcerated women and street beggars.

He also stressed the need for stronger laws and awareness campaigns to combat illegal logging.
