Sana'a: The University of September 21 for Medical and Applied Sciences in Sana'a Governorate organized a solidarity sit-in on Wednesday to show support for the Palestinian people and condemn the ongoing killings, starvation, and genocide perpetrated by the Zionist entity against the residents of Gaza.

According to Yemen News Agency, participants in the sit-in raised both Yemeni and Palestinian flags, chanting slogans that denounced the Zionist entity's crimes of genocide, killings, and starvation against Gaza's residents. The protest highlighted the international silence, Western support, and what was described as shameful Arab and Islamic inaction.

A statement released during the sit-in reaffirmed the steadfast adherence to supporting Gaza and Palestine as a faith-based duty, fulfilling divine directives to strive and remain patient. It emphasized the commitment of the University's staff and students to participate weekly, driven by humanitarian, moral, and religious duty, with faith in the eventual victory and success promised by divine intervention.

The statement criticized the silent and complacent rulers and citizens in Arab and Islamic regimes, accusing them of enabling the enemy to continue its crimes. It called upon intellectuals, scholars, academics, and students across the Arab and Islamic world to assume their responsibilities towards the oppressed in Palestine.

The statement also cautioned about the Zionist entity's plans to expand its aggression, maintain the siege on Gaza, and continue extermination efforts against two million people. It warned that the enemy's strategy to eliminate the Palestinian cause would have severe repercussions for Arab and Islamic countries unless they unite to support Gaza.

The statement urged global universities to embrace the values of knowledge, organize demonstrations, raise awareness about the critical situation, and expose the Zionist, American, and Western complicity. It also warned against any attempts to divert Yemeni support for Gaza, affirming that such actions aid the Zionist, American, and their Arab collaborators.
