Sana'a: The Sixth International Scientific Conference on Emerging Smart Technologies and Applications (eSmarTA-2026) opened on Tuesday at Dhamar University under the theme 'Smart Transformation Towards a Secure and Sustainable Digital Future.'
According to Yemen News Agency, the two-day conference, organized by the university's Faculty of Computers and Informatics in partnership with Yemen Research Foundation, features 96 research papers selected from 304 submissions by researchers from 38 countries.
Officials at the conference emphasized the significance of artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and technology localization, urging the conversion of research outcomes into practical projects that bolster national development.
The conference agenda includes discussions on AI, cybersecurity, big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, smart systems, and technological applications across various sectors such as healthcare, education, energy, and industry.
