Sana'a: The General Authority for Insurance and Pensions has begun disbursing the second half of the July 2021 pension for civilian retirees. Chairman of the Authority Ibrahim Al-Haifi informed the Yemen News Agency (Saba) that the disbursement is being implemented under the temporary exceptional mechanism to support the state employees' payroll in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (2) of 1446 AH. This mechanism ensures the regular payment of pensions through 12 disbursement operations annually.

According to Yemen News Agency, Al-Haifi explained that this step resulted from intensive efforts and ongoing coordination with the Ministers of Finance, Civil Service, and Administrative Development. The objective is to ensure the continued and regular payment of pensions within the framework of the Government of Change and Construction's program, which places special attention on retirees in recognition of their long service and contributions to the nation.

Al-Haifi urged retirees and authorized beneficiaries to visit post offices and bring the required documents to facilitate the receipt of their pensions. He also expressed gratitude for the strong cooperation among the concerned authorities, particularly highlighting the support from the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen. The efforts of the staff of the Authority, the Ministries of Civil Service and Finance, the Central Bank, and the Postal Savings Authority were also acknowledged for ensuring the success of the disbursement process.
