Sana'a: The General Authority for Insurance and Pensions has begun disbursing the second half of the March 2021 pension for civilian retirees, the authority announced on Thursday.
According to Yemen News Agency, the Head of the Authority, Ibrahim al-Haifi, stated that the disbursement is being executed under the exceptional temporary mechanism supporting the state's payroll bill. This initiative is in accordance with Law No. (2) of 1446 AH, which mandates 12 pension disbursements annually.
Al-Haifi emphasized that the disbursement is a result of extensive efforts and ongoing coordination with the Ministers of Finance and Civil Service and Administrative Development. These efforts aim to ensure the consistent payment of pensions, aligning with the Government of Change and Development's agenda, which prioritizes retirees in recognition of their years of service.
Retirees and authorized representatives of beneficiaries are urged to visit post offices with the necessary documents to facilitate pension collection.
